The Big “5-0”

For the last few weeks I’ve been planing, buying and making for my parents “50th” Wedding Anniversary. Today was THE big day for the party. Their actual anniversary date is November 22, 1963, however, I thought it would be better to surprise them before the date rather than after the date.

Reflectively it’s hard to imagine being with anyone for fifty years, or longer, yet they’ve done it and I’m so happy for them. True love does exist. ♥

I went to the local party supply store and was surprised by the lack of 50th Anniversary things available to buy. So out of desperation I decided I would make the decorations. Here’s what I came up with.

P1000976 I couldn’t have made this without my Cricut cutter. I just wanted a little something to decorate the table so this is what I came up with. A little foam board can go a long way with glittery cutouts, and love birds.

P1000977 I asked my husband to spray paint this jar, and I put their wedding year and their names on these cutouts.

I'm a wife and Mom. I love baking, crafting, scrap booking, and reading for fun. I work full-time outside of the home and I have one adult son who has high functioning Autism. My husband and I have been married for over 25 years and I still love him as much today as I did the day we were married.
